At the moment, we are looking for Junior Designer and Graphic & Print Designer.

 

Junior Designer (Part-time)

JAN SOCIÉTÉ is looking for a Junior Designer to join our design team and work directly with founder and Creative Director Jan Černý.

This role is focused on supporting the design process across collections, product development and creative research.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with Jan Černý on the day-to-day development of collections and product drops.
  • Researching references, materials, silhouettes and concepts.
  • Preparing technical drawings and tech packs in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Assisting with presentations, collection development and day-to-day creative tasks.
  • Supporting the design process from the initial idea through product development.

Requirements

  • Excellent Adobe Illustrator skills.
  • Experience creating technical drawings and tech packs.
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Strong visual sensitivity and attention to detail.
  • Interest in contemporary fashion, design and culture.
  • Czech and (or) English.

Previous experience is welcome, but not essential. Talent, curiosity and the right mindset are more important than the number of years on your CV.

Working model

  • Part-time freelance
  • 3 days per week in our Prague studio
  • Remaining time flexible / home office
  • Start: ASAP

Graphic & Print Designer (Freelance)

JAN SOCIÉTÉ is looking for a Graphic & Print Designer for a long-term freelance collaboration.

We're looking for someone who can move naturally between graphic design, textile prints and visual concepts. Someone who understands fashion, has a strong eye for typography and composition, and enjoys experimenting beyond conventional design processes.

Responsibilities

  • Developing graphics and prints for apparel and accessories.
  • Creating artwork specifically for textile applications, understanding the technical possibilities and limitations of different printing techniques.
  • Designing campaign assets, presentations, lookbooks, packaging and other brand materials.
  • Collaborating on creative concepts from research through final execution.
  • Preparing production-ready artwork and print files.

Requirements

  • Excellent Adobe skills.
  • Experience creating graphics for apparel or textile applications.
  • Strong typographic sensibility and attention to detail.
  • Ability to think conceptually and develop original visual ideas.
  • Comfortable working outside conventional design processes using analogue methods such as sketching, collage, scanning, printing or material experimentation.
  • Czech and (or) English.

We're not looking for someone who only executes briefs. We're looking for someone who contributes ideas and enjoys exploring different creative approaches.
